I’d like to introduce myself and my family to you.
My name is Antonio Di Meglio. I started building the “Casa Di Meglio” in
1960, when tourism was starting on the island of Ischia.
I loved this job since the very beginning and my wish has always been to
show my guests more than superficial aspects of this wonderful island. I
decided to let them find a “house” – or, better, a “home”, to spend some
days or weeks having the taste of our food and wine, finding someone to
chat with and being surrounded by a very friendly atmosphere.
As demands were changing in tourism, during these years I improved the
service in my house. My guests always found something new: the
swimming-pool, the inner renovations, now the Beauty Center, and we are
still going on…
It was a hard work, but I feel happy about it. Every time I enjoy the
smiling faces of guests who have been coming for years and the new faces
asking of me to bring greetings of someone who recommended the “Casa Di
Meglio”!!
I’m proud that today my children Andrea and Giovangiuseppe share with me
my love and commitment to this job. We desire maintaining the same
familiar, friendly, genuine character that belonged to the “Casa Di
Meglio” all these years. That’s why, even if the building became bigger
and we have a well co-operating staff, inside our heart (and in our
appellation !) we keep the “Casa”, to welcome our old guests and
everyone else who wishes to meet us !
